Isometric illustration: a lime application block fitted into a stack of existing system blocks

Your systems. Your rules. The application that connects them.

PLATFORM DELIVERY TEAM

Internal applications.
Built around
your work.

We design, build, and launch applications your employees use to run finance, operations, HR, and other important workflows. They connect your existing systems and support the rules, decisions, and exceptions your current tools cannot handle.

WHY NOW

Revisit the application you
could never justify building.

Disconnected systems.
The same manual work.

THE WORKAROUND STAYED

Everyone knows what needs improving.

Each month, Finance exports data, reconciles differences, and calculates commissions in a spreadsheet. A custom application was too expensive to justify, or the engineers who could build it were committed elsewhere.

THE ECONOMICS ARE CHANGING

Coding agents give you
a reason to reconsider.

These AI tools help engineers write and change software. They can reduce effort on some development tasks, potentially lowering build costs and changing which internal applications are worth the investment.

Make the whole case.

Rules, integrations, testing, and the people who will use it. We assess the full cost with you before recommending a build.

BUILT FROM INSIDE THE WORK

Your people know the work.
We turn it into working software.

Your experts define the rules and exceptions. Our engineers turn them into software your team can review, accept, and own.

01

Understand the rules behind the workaround

We work alongside your users and domain experts on real tasks, decisions, and exceptions. Your technical owner helps us establish the systems, access, and controls the application needs.

FROM THE WORK

Remote: turning payroll knowledge into software

At Remote, Appunite engineers helped define what payroll software needed to do, working with Remote’s experts to turn payroll and tax rules into implementation requirements.

For the reporting module, the teams balanced what one country needed immediately with future use. Appunite contributed to the platform one workflow at a time, with larger architecture decisions made jointly by Remote and Appunite engineers.

02

Build with coding agents and engineering judgment

Our engineers use coding agents to help implement the application. They direct the work, review the code, test its behavior, and check the integrations and access controls. Your users review working software against the tasks it needs to support.

03

Put it into everyday use

We support the agreed rollout and training, investigate what surfaces in use, and refine the application within the agreed scope.

Handover is prepared from the start: code, documentation, knowledge transfer, and agreed support arrangements. Your organization has named owners for running and developing the application.

There is a difference between an engineer and a product engineer. We wanted engineers, and we got product engineers, which is very helpful in this case.

YOUR ORGANIZATION PROVIDES

The agreed implementation plan and delivery

Business priorities, policy, and decisions

Working software and the evidence for each milestone

Timely milestone review and acceptance

Visibility of progress, risks, and dependencies

Access to users, experts, systems, and reliable information

Agreed rollout, user training, and early fixes in real use

Authority to change how the work is done, and support for continued use

Documentation, knowledge transfer, and handover

Named owners for running and developing the application

Agree a success measure, such as processing time, manual handoffs, or rework, and review the evidence together. Business results also depend on your decisions, participation, and operating conditions.

ONE DECISION AT A TIME

First, decide what
is worth building.

Then commit one milestone at a time.

Discovery is credited against your first milestone if you proceed. Material scope changes are repriced before work begins. Ongoing support and maintenance are agreed separately.

A few things worth asking.

Is custom software the answer?+−

Not always. Discovery compares existing tools, standard products, low-code, integrations, and internal delivery.

Who runs it after handover?+−

Agree a business owner and technical co-owner. Your IT team, another supplier, or Appunite under a separate support agreement can run it.

How is this different from hiring engineers?+−

We carry the agreed implementation, rollout, and handover. With additional engineers, you direct the work.

What will it cost? How long will it take?+−

Share your budget and deadline first. Discovery establishes the workflow, integrations, and controls needed to price milestones.

Does the application need AI?+−

No. Coding agents help us build. AI features belong in the application only when the workflow benefits and appropriate controls are in place.

What if the problem spans several functions?+−

We assess whether one application is the right boundary. Broader process redesign may call for Process Native Software.

Which workaround
is worth revisiting?

Bring the spreadsheet, approval chain, or application idea your team keeps returning to.

Discuss your workflow

No complete specification needed. Bring the people who understand the business and technical context, if you can.
